Warm air at the vents, ice on the lines, or a breaker that keeps tripping isn't a wait-it-out problem when Del Mar, CA temperatures climb. Pressure, amp draw, and coil condition all get checked before any part gets quoted.
A refrigerant top-off with no leak search is a classic way homeowners in Del Mar end up paying twice. Our process is pressure readings, spec comparison, and electronic leak detection, because a properly repaired leak outlasts three top-offs.
What every AC visit includes.
Refrigerant work is always performed by certified technicians — a legal requirement we take seriously.
No-cool situations jump the schedule, most Del Mar requests seen same-day in peak season, even during the busiest stretch of summer.
Capacitor or compressor, the price you approve is the price on the invoice before work starts.
Real detection equipment finds the source, not just a temporary patch.
The repairs behind most no-cool calls.
We locate, repair, and recharge to spec — not just refilled and sent on its way.
Hard-starting or high-amp compressors get tested before we recommend replacement.
We find why the coil froze, not just defrost it and hope.
A failing capacitor is a common cause of a dead condenser, and it's usually a same-visit fix once confirmed.
A coil caked in debris can't reject heat properly, which spikes head pressure and stresses the compressor, so we clean and inspect during the visit.
Electrical faults can mimic total compressor failure, so we rule these out first to avoid an unnecessary replacement.
What to expect once you call.
Describe the symptom — warm air, ice, tripping breaker — and we route the nearest tech and we'll get a tech moving.
Truck arrives stocked with refrigerant, gauges, and common parts within your window.
Pressures and amp draws get measured before anything gets added, then quote a flat rate.
Same-visit completion is typical, backed in writing.

What people ask before we dispatch.
The common causes are leak, compressor, or coil and we test each before quoting.
Sure, but it won't stick — refrigerant is a closed system, so if the level dropped, it went somewhere specific, and we'll say so before you pay for one.
No-cool calls get priority routing, typically seen within a few hours, usually resolved within a few hours of your call.
It won't hurt anyone, but continued operation risks the compressor, so it's worth addressing quickly.
Our focus is central and packaged systems, though we can point you toward window unit resources, and can advise on window units.
You're paying for a proper pressure and electrical workup, not a guess — and that fee comes off the total if you move forward with the repair once you approve the fix.
